With so many options available in many different fields it may be hard to determine exactly which direction you should go. Here are some of the best fields to look into for 2010.

Engineering - This is a good field for 2010 graduates. All different fields of engineering; mechanical, chemical, electrical and computer, are growing rapidly. We will constantly need new engineers to continue with our technological and scientific advancements. Whichever specific field you’d like to dive into is up to you but the engineering field is a great choice for a 2010 graduate.

Retail and Management – Although retail and management took a pretty big hit during the recession these positions managed to stay open. The employment level for this field stayed high and people were still able to get or keep their jobs. On top of that these kind of positions open doors to bigger and better jobs in the same field.

Accounting – There are several accounting fields that will always be needed, managerial accounting, auditing, bookkeeping and taxation. These accounting fields have stayed very steady regardless of what our economy has gone through and they will continue to stay steady because as long as there is money and numbers, we will need someone to take care of them.

Finance – Finance jobs are a spectacular field to get in to. According to experts finance degrees hold strong at the top degrees in demand. These types of degrees offer great variations of job fields open to you, from financial planning to insurance, analyst positions and other opening throughout Wall Street.

Computer Science – Now we all know that our world is becoming more and more technologically advanced each and every day. Well this also means that to keep everything up and running requires help. We will need people to advance our technology as well as keep it running at its full potential. Technicians, programmers, systems analyst and web devlopers will be in high need for years to come.

Health Care – We will forever need professionals to aid our ill and help us when we get injured. With so many different fields available in this general field of health care your options are virtually endless. Find what moves you and jump in on a great growing field.

Education – The Bureau of Labor Statistics has reported that between 2008 and 2018 the education field had the highest number of openings. Mainly pertaining to elementary, middle and secondary school teachers in this field, teachers are among the top 10 openings.

Manufacturing – Manufacturing hasn’t always had the best reputation but with the increase of small businesses, training positions and new innovative ideas manufacturing is a great field. The Department of Labor has even recognized manufacturing as a consistently growing field.

Government Agencies – It’s no secret that government jobs are a good place to start your career, but now more than ever there are so many different opportunities in government agencies. With jobs ranging from environmental biologist to social worker, CIA agents and mathematicians you have a wide range of careers to choose from.

Green Jobs – There is a growing awareness of what we need to do to save our planet and the constant search for renewable energy – jobs in the green market are growing fast. From learning about solar energy to using windmills there are a ton of openings in the going green field.
