This is opening doors for all different types of things. There once was a time where you had no choice but to go to a campus in order to get a degree. Well those days are quickly becoming a thing of the past. With people’s busy schedules it’s hard to get to a campus and keep your job and run your life all at the same time. But this isn’t stopping people from wanting or even getting a degree in their fields.

Online M.B.A. programs are becoming more popular than ever before. Not but a handful of years ago the thought of learning and gaining a degree online was unthinkable. People could not wrap their head around the idea of sitting in front of their computer and having the same educational experience as on a campus. Well today it is very possible to accomplish just that.

View all the schools that offer an Online MBA Program here: Online MBA Schools

You are now able to keep your job and run your everyday life and still gain your M.B.A. and in most cases you can do it in a shorter amount of time than if you were to go to a campus. The problem with sitting on campus to get your degree is it requires you to stay there. Typically you won’t be able to have a job for longer than a few hours a week because you will spend most of your time in class or doing work for your classes.

On top of all of that it will take you a minimum of 4 years to complete the courses and achieve your degree. When you look into online schools for your degree you are able to have a full time job, live in your own place and take care of your family while furthering your education. Online M.B.A. programs also give you the opportunity to get a 4 year degree in 2 ½ to 3 ½ years, which leaves your whole life open to further your career and do the things you want to do.

Another great benefit of looking for your degree online is that you can save thousands of dollars. Yes that’s right, thousands of dollars can be put back into your bank account. When you are on campus you will be paying tuition, boarding, books and any other materials you may need. These costs typically range from $40,000 a year all the way up to over $100,000 a year. With costs like this it’s no wonder online M.B.A. programs are becoming more popular.

If you want to further your career and your education then you need to look for an online program. You can keep your life the way it is and save tons of money. Maybe you have a family that needs you to take care of them and you simply cannot afford to be away from them for four years, well in that case online schooling is perfect for you. A lot of people just don’t want to go to a campus but desperately want to further their education so they can get paid more and further their careers – again online schooling is perfect for you.

View all the schools that offer an Online MBA Program here: Online MBA Schools

The Best 100k+ Jobs

Career News

When you’re searching for a career money is always in the front of your mind. You want to be able to support your family and enjoy the life style you deserve. Well years ago you could have a job that paid $50,000 a year and you would be beyond set. Nowadays, $50,000 will not go nearly as far as it used to. To enjoy the same lifestyle you could 20 years ago you need to double that number and get yourself into a $100,000 a year job. Six figures sounds like a lot, but again even today that kind of money does not go as far as it used to.

As difficult as it may seem to grab a hold of that six figure income it’s really not that hard as long as you are looking in the right field. Now if you enjoy your job because you are doing something to better the world and you’re not concerned about money, well then that’s a good thing and you don’t need to search for a new career. For those of us who desire the good money and the important careers we need to research the best 100k+ jobs out there.

Now one of the best fields to get into that will most definitely provide you with a six figure salary is engineering. Whether you want to get into chemical engineering or mechanical engineering or even automotive engineering, these are all jobs where you can advance quickly and see that 100k paycheck. You will need to focus and put forth some good effort but it is well within your reach to hit that six figure salary through engineering.

Government jobs also will give you the opportunity to advance on up to the six figure income. Government jobs also provide you with great benefits, medical and dental to further help you provide for yourself and your family. Working for the government can open up numerous doors for you so you don’t have to stay in one field for the rest of your life. You can easily move up and on to bigger and better things in a career you will love going to, and love the paycheck as well.

At the moment the green movement is sweeping the country, and at the moment you may not be able to jump right into a $100,000 a year job, with its advancements combing across the nation that six figure salary is just over the horizon. Become part of something that will help sustain life and renewable resources on our planet while watching your bank roll grow with each year. The green jobs out there are numerous so you can again find what moves you and stick with a great 100k job.

While we all wish to have the huge paycheck not many of us actually fight to get it. You will need to be on top of your game and constantly advance in your field. But if you love what you do and love the money it provides you with then you will have no problem working your butt off to reach those goals. There’s no reason you can’t get a six figure a year job and get the lifestyle for you and your family that you deserve.

The Best and Worst College Degrees of 2010

Career News

Making it into and then through college is a hard but extremely rewarding experience. Now the next job a college graduate faces is making a career out of the degree they just spent 4 years achieving. Now the only problem with that is our declining economy, with more people losing their jobs than starting new careers it’s hard to find the right one to set you on a good path.

In order to make sure all of your hard work doesn’t end up wasted you must pick a degree that will help you further your career and not leave you stranded in this hard economic time. Not every field is as concerned with hiring new employees so if you end up with a degree you can’t use it will be quite frustrating.

So before you jump into a field that may not need you right now have a look at the best and worst college degrees of 2010.

Big Businesses are not concerned with new employees at all right now. With all that’s happening in the economy big businesses are actually facing a lot of down-sizing and layoffs rather than expansion and the hiring of new staff. Not to say this will stay this way forever but as of right now you shouldn’t look into a degree in big business.

Another bad degree to hold at this time is something in higher education. As the same with big businesses, areas in higher education aren’t looking for more people on their staff. Instead they are more worried about being able to keep who they have and furthering their specific campuses. Again this is something that may change in the future but as of 2010 you need to be looking elsewhere as far as a career.

A career in fine arts may sound quite appealing with the artsy people but this is not a good career choice as of right now. As it is it’s pretty hard to get into that field without a declining economy, but with the crazy whirlwind our economy is in it’s even more of a long shot. There is simply not enough room for brand new graduates.

Now although there are some bad areas to get a degree in there are also some great fields to look into.

Manufacturing is growing by the day and is a great degree to look into. Things like auto manufacturing are areas that have not slowed down and still need new employees with good experience. We as a nation will need people to help with our automotive needs for a long time to come.

Another great career is anything in the health care field. Similar to manufacturing, we will need people in the health field forever. Without doctors and nurses and such our population will dwindle away. The health care industry is always growing and will almost always be looking for new professionals with degrees.

Going green has become a huge movement all across the country and the going green career field is blossoming. As our country become much more aware of what we need to do to try and save our planet, careers in things such as solar paneling, windmills and making cars more eco-friendly is a rapidly growing industry. You can help save the world and begin a great career all at the same time when you look into a degree in the going green field.

When you’re searching for a good degree keep all of these facts in mind. You do not want to end up with a useless degree.

Dental Hygienist

Career Descriptions

Career as a Dental Hygienist Do you want satisfying work in a growing field with the possibility of part-time work or flexible hours? Then becoming a dental hygienist might be a good decision for your career goals and needs. Helping a dentist with his or her work, cleaning a patient’s mouth and advising a patient of what he or she should do to have good oral hygiene are all part of the job duties of a dental hygienist. Therefore, this type of work is also suitable for social, outgoing people that also possess an acute attention to detail.

View all the schools that offer a Dental Hygienist Program here: Dental Hygienist Schools

The path to landing a job in this field is relatively simple. A high school diploma or equivalent is generally necessary in order to get into a dental hygiene program, although specific application requirements typically vary. If you want to find work in a private office with a dentist, you’ll need a two year associate’s degree in this field, followed by obtaining a license in the state where you want to work. For those interested in research or teaching, further education may be required. Fortunately there are hundreds of programs available around the country that have accreditation, making qualifications easily obtainable.

The great thing about a career as a dental hygienist is the flexibility it can provide; some half of all hygienists works only part time, and many offices provide weekend or night shifts that can accommodate to your needs and schedule. So, if you’re a busy mom that only wants part time work to add to the family income, this might be a great option for you. Job growth is very favorable, with the U.S. Department of Labor projecting about a 36% increase in positions over the next decade. Also, unlike some other technician programs and degrees, dental hygienists make a very high average salary. The median wage in 2008 was about $66000! If you find yourself in the top 10% of workers in this field, you could even see more than $90,000 a year. If flexible employment options as well as helping people are your priorities, go ahead and look for a dental hygienist program near you. A list of programs by state is available at http://www.healthguideusa.org/dentalhygiene/dental_hygiene_programs.htm.

View all the schools that offer a Dental Hygienist Program here: Dental Hygienist Schools

Veterinary Technician / Technologist

Career Descriptions

Pursuing a career as a Veterinary Technician or Technologist Have you always dreamt of being able to have a career that included helping and interacting with animals? A career as a veterinary technician or technologist might be just for you, and the good news is that the U.S. Department of Labor projects faster than average growth in this sector versus other degrees and careers. The relationship of a vet technician or technologist to the veterinarian is similar to that between a nurse and a doctor, and people with a passion for animals may derive a great deal of personal satisfaction from this kind of work.

How does someone go about entering a career in this field? Two degree options are available, depending on how long you want to be in school. Veterinary technician programs last for two years, and result in an associate’s degree. The American Veterinary Medical Association provides a list of accredited programs by state available on its website (www.avma.org) and a simple internet search for programs will yield plenty of advice on where to go. In addition, a four year degree in veterinary technology is available at some colleges.
