Scholarships and grants are a great way to further your education. Scholarships can be obtained through different means. Some can come from having a great GPA throughout your high school years, this would be considered an Academic Scholarship. Others are acquired through sports, when a college wants you to become part of their team they may offer you a full or partial scholarship to their school. Scholarships are fantastic for anyone trying to get into college but they typically come with a stipulation. You must maintain a certain GPA throughout your schooling or you will be dropped from the scholarship and have to leave school or pay your own way.

Grants have become more popular because you do not need to pay them back. The government decides that you are eligible for money usually for school and will grant you a certain amount based on different aspects. You will need to apply for a grant and this can take some time with some extensive paperwork but it is well worth the effort and the wait to end up getting a grant that may pay for your entire schooling.
